Ni-ni Generation!!

54 % of Spanish people between 18 and 34 years old haven´t any project to do in a close future. Sociologists say that those people try to avoid their responsibilities, so they don´t study either work. This is a strange behavior, because if you don´t want to study, you will have to work, but by now that doesn´t happen. Who is the guilty? Some people accuse to the World Crisis, another to the Educational System, other to the teachers and pedagogues and parents.
Eduardo Bericat (Professor at the Seville´s University) says that there is a relationship between State-Family-Young people. The State has to pay the education and the family has to pay the accommodation, leisure time. This situation cause the young people don´t know how to take responsibilities for themselves.

THE POLEMIC CUBE

If you ask to students of Biblioteconomy, they will say you that is very important keep the cube, because if you demolish, dissapear the reason of this university in this place.
The students say that in this place, deserted many years ago, now have very much life. Badajoz´s friends asotiation say that the cube break the line of Alcazaba, but in Paris, when built the Tower Eiffel, there was the same polemic and now is the icon of Paris.
The Rector of University of Extremadura say that this cube is very important for teachers and students, but for people of Badajoz too, because with this proyect, Badajoz recovery the old town and now can walk in this place. The investement in this proyect was very important for Badajoz and University, and now if the cube is demolish, the money have wasted and there aren´t anything.
The political of Junta Extremadura and city council are agree with not destroy the cube.
And you, are you agree?

Panama Experience!

I have to say that my Panama Experience was really nice!!

After a 12 hours travel by plane, Panama Cannal was waiting for us. We spent a lot of time working so hard, but we enjoy as well the trip and experience.

The people there were so kind with us, helping as much as the could. It was my first time there, so I could observe the country, the people, the diferent culture, the gorgeous views, the amazing Cannal.
It´s an incredible experience work there, in spite of a couple of problems that we had.

MY PERUVIAN EXPERIENCE

We did the first trip in January. When we arrived there, all the people were gratefully and they help us in our staying. The next two days we visited all the places that we could use for our school and finally we decided to build the school near the church. This trip was the most interesting because we met a lot of people that later will became teachers. On January 30th we finished the school. There had been working 30 men and 13 women. At the beginnings of February we came back to Spain and to our Institutes.
The Second trip was in April. It was more relaxed and calm than the first one. The objective of this journey was to choose people than could be teachers. In this trip, when we were in the selection process we had a visit of one of the most important person of Peru, the Peruvian president. And that evening, he invited us to his house and there we had a very good dinner. Two days later we went back to Spain.
The last trip took place from the first of July to the last of August, and on this time we were teaching to the native teachers. They were 7 women and 3 men who, nowadays, are teaching to 90 children between 9-15 years old. The last day of our adventure they prepared a party for all of us and they gave us a present. When we were taking the plane some of us were crying.

Personal experience

Two years ago, I lived the most important experience in my life.
I participated in a proyect, which began in Spain in 1999. It had a clear object, to educate to children who had lived a war,s experience. In 2004, the program was present in five South American countries.
In summer of 2007, I travelled to Peru with two friends. Our work consisted of educating to teachers which were born in Peru. There were 25 candidates, every one had to pass an intervew and a psicologist test. At the ends we chose 15 teachers.
The program consisted of teaching the writting and reading method.
During two months all people worked very hard, in spite of, the experience had fantastic. In my opinion the most important thing was not what I taught, the most important thing was the love received.

The real story of Dracula

The Real Story of Dracula

I was investigating about the Real Stoy of Dracula, and who was my surprise when I found that the Count really existed. The story of Dracula is a story full of mystery and unbelievable facts, but despite all of these there is truth to this story: Dracula really existed.
After I had been checking and reading in several sources, I discoverd that Vlad Tepes known as Dracula was a king in one of the historical parts of Romania: Tara Romaneascã (The Romanian Country) or Walachia. He was born in 1431 in Sighisoara, Transylvania, Dracula grew up in a Germanic, and later Turkish atmosphere (as a prisoner from 1444 until 1448), then died in 1476 in a fight defending his country.
For a better understanding of the true character's of Vlad Tepes it is necessary to explain the origin of his name. "Both father and son had the given name 'Vlad'. The names 'Dracul' and 'Dracula' are really nicknames. So, both of these nicknames had two meanings. 'Dracul' meant 'devil', as it still does in Romanian today; in addition it meant 'dragon'.
After I had known all of this information, I decided to travel to Transylvania, to have a look myself.
Once there, I noticed a really weird feeling in all the atmosphere. All the people there, were looking at me like an intruder. At the end, asking and asking, I found the Castle where Dracula were living. I knocked the door, and suddenly, a housekeeper appear on the front door!
She was very interesting about me and she showed me with pleasure all the huge Castle. I wanted to see the Dracula´s coffin, so I was aking reapeted times about it and at the end, I could see the room which the coffin was!! It was terrorific, when I was 5cm from the coffin, suddendly, the lights turned off, and a scream was listened!! It was stormy outside and I couldn´t see anything. When I found a lighter, somebody has been killed to the housekeeper.
I started to run and run, and at the end, I could leave that horrible Castle.

The room

The steps after him were disappearing in a dark flog: there isn´t another way to follow. The men touched the door with precaution and repugnance; it seamed builded a lot of years ago from organic materials mixed with ground, stones, perhaps blood? When the thin man pushed the door it squeaked and he came in a strange room. There he had an unplaisant feeling and suddenly he understood why: there isn´t any noise, the silence was absolute; he cried but the sounds didn´t come out: he panicked. Few minutes after, he relaxed a little and saw the room, now felt something else more distressing than the silence: the walls, the floor and the roof made strange angles without relations to human patterns. Then the thin man fell over.

HOLIDAYS IN TRANSYLVANIA

Last summer, my husband and I decided to spend our holidays in one of the wildest and least known portions of Europe, Transylvania.
When we arrived, we decided to have a walk in the forest near to our hotel-castle.
The night was dark with occasional gleams of moonlight between the heavy clauds on the skay. Suddenly we saw a silhouette that was advancing towards us. For several minutes no one spoke a word. When it was near enought for us to see clearly, my husband raised his torch, Then we could see a man dressed with a black cloak and that his lips were stained with fresh blood. He still advanced and with a voluptuous voice said:" Leave your husband and came to me, my arms are waiting for you, came and we can rest together caaame! caaaame!. There was something diabolically sweet in her voice. I opened my arms and when I was walking towards him my husband inserted between us a little silvered crucifix. He recoiled from it with a cruel look, the color of his face became livid. If ever a face meant death we saw it at that moment.
The next day we changed our destination. We went, like always to the beach.

Keep up the good work!

You certainly worked hard this Wednesday! That was a lexical marathon where you were racking your brains for a good while. We´ll carry on exploring the use of vocab, but if you would like to do anything special, let me know. We´ll be doing role-plays, too, to keep you talking. How about bringing in your favourite photos to talk about? See you!
P.S. Remember your dictionaries (not necessarily the thesaurus).
